Violin Lessons
Learning to play the violin is not only a lot of fun, but many studies have shown that learning to play the violin speeds the development of motor skills - especially in young children - making one smarter in all aspects of life! A Canadian study from McMaster University found that after one year the musically trained children performed better in a memory test that is correlated with general intelligence skills such as literacy, verbal memory, visio-spatial processing, mathematics and IQ.
I offer violin lessons for ages 3 to 100, whether you are a brand new to violin, or are already an avid learner. For each student, I create a personalized music program based on their current level and musical goals. For very young students, I primarily use the Suzuki method which focuses on learning to play by listening thereby removing the potential roadblock of learning how to read music. For more advanced students, I follow the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum and if desired, can help students complete the RCM examinations.
I offer music lesson packages rather than a typical weekly lesson, as it affords greater flexibility in scheduling. Individuals can purchase a package of 12 lessons which must be used within a 6 month window, at 1 hour, 45 minutes or 30 minutes per lesson. Please contact me for rates and scheduling.

I want to make good citizens. If a child hears fine music from the day of his birth and learns to play it himself, he develops sensitivity, discipline and endurance. He gets a beautiful heart.
